REAL ESTATE BROKER

NEW APPLICANT

1. Secure application from the Department of Trade and Industry – Provincial offices (DTI- PO).

2. Accomplish form and file with DTI – PO where applicants is based, except for NCR – based Real Estate Brokers and Salesmen whose application shall be filed with HLURB, the following requirements:
  • • Three (3) 1” x 1” I.D Pictures;
  • • License fee of P 1, 050. 00 (3 years ) for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI);

  • • Registration fee of P 510. 00 (per year)for Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB);

  • • Clearance either from NBI, RTC or City of Municipal Clerk of Court where applicant resided or holds office within one year prior to the date of application;

  • • Proof of educational attainment, at least 144 units college education or 72 units, provided applicant is a licensed salesman for four (4) years;

  • • Report of rating- REB Examination ;

  • • Surety Bond of P 5, 000.00 payable to the Republic of the Philippines or certification from a recognized real estate association that guarantees the faithful and honest discharge by the applicant as well as the salesperson working under him of their duties and shall be liable to any and all persons who may suffer loss by reason of such failure up to the amount of P 5,000.00;
  • * CEP Attendance Certificate/s equivalent to 20 credit hours if applicant applied for a license after 2 years from the date of passing the qualifying examination

  • • If Corporation, Board Resolution authorizing a Real Estate Broker to act for and in behalf of the corporation, together with the SEC Certificate of Registration and Articles of Incorporation approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC);

  • • If partnership, proof that one of the partners is duly licensed real estate broker, together with SEC Certificate of registration and articles of partnership approved by SEC.

RENEWAL

1. Secure application form from the DTI- PO or HLURB (NCR based)

2. Accomplish application and file the same with the following requirements:
  • • One 1” x 1 ” I.D Picture;
  • • License fee of P 1, 050.00 ( 3 years )for DTI; if renewed beyond the 30 day grace period, within the year of renewal, pay surcharge of 50 % license fee. If renewed after one or more years, pay the basic license fee for all the years of non-renewal plus fifty percent (50%)surcharge on the total basic fee;
  • • Registration fee of P510.00 (per year) HLURB;
  • • Renewed Surety Bond;
  • • CEP Attendance Certificate/s equivalent to 16 credit hours for applicants who regularly renew their license; otherwise, 20 credit hours. Required every three years.

REAL ESTATE SALESMAN


NEW APPLICANT

1. Secure an application form from the DTI- PO or HLURB (NCR based)

2. Fill the same with the necessary requirements:
  • • Three (3) 1” x 1” I>D Picture;
  • • License fee of P 600.00 (3 years) for DTI;
  • • Registration fee of P210.00 for HLURB;
  • • Recommendation of broker – employer;
  • • Proof of educational attainment at least high school graduate;
  • • Cash or Surety Bond of P1, 000.00 in favor of HLURB.
RENEWAL

1. Secure an application form from the DTI- PO or HLURB (NCR based)

2. Fill the same with the necessary requirements:

  • • License fee of P 600.00 (3 years) for DTI; if expired and not renewed within the 30-day grace period, a surcharge of fifty percent (50%) of the license fee, pay the basic license fee for all the years of non-renewal plus fifty percent (50 %) surcharge on the total basic fee;
  • • If there is a change of broker employer clearance from the former broker employer and transfer fee of P 50.00.

APPRAISERS or CONSULTANTS

NEW APPLICANT

1. Secure an application form from the DTI- PO or HLURB (NCR based)

2. Fill the same with the necessary requirements:
  • • Photocopy of REB license for 5 years or certification under oath by employer or head of agency that applicant has 5 years experience as appraiser in any government agency, banking / financial institution or any company involved in appraisal of real property , provided he/she has satisfactory completed a four (4) year baccalaureate degree if appraiser – applicant;

  • • Photocopy of REB, license for 10 years or 5 years as Real Estate Appraiser if consultant applicant;

  • • Report of Rating – Appraiser or Consultant Examination;

  • • Two (2) 1” x 1” I>D Pictures;

  • • License fee for Appraiser – P 1, 200.00 (3 years);

  • • License fee for Consultant – P 1, 500.00 (3 years);

  • * CEP Attendance Certificate/s equivalent to 20 credit hours if applicant applied for a license after 2 years from the date of passing the qualifying examination
RENEWAL

1. Secure an application form from the DTI- PO or HLURB (NCR based)

2. Fill the same with the necessary requirements:
  • • License fee for Appraiser – P 1,200.00 (3 years);
  • • If renewed after one or more years, pay the license fee for all years of non – renewal plus fifty percent (50%) surcharge on the total basic fee;
  • • License fee for Consultant – P 1, 500.00 (3 years);
Duration of license shall be for a period of three (3years).

* CEP Attendance Certificate/s equivalent to 16 credit hours for applicants who regularly renew their license; otherwise, 20 credit hours.
